Beatoxic

The two beatboxers of the band, RoxorLoops and Copycat, know each other sinds their childhood. Even more, they’ve started beatboxing together! After some years of transpiring over downloaded beatboxsamples RoxorLoops started his search for Belgian soulmates: he firmly believes a group is always stronger than an individual. And thus he met, besides Beathoven - more or less the beatbox godfather of Roxor and Copycat - Roustix and Fatty K. Together they made up The 4ce. But it wasn’t to be… it proved too difficult tuning different beatboxers to the same frequency! Due to the large distance between the members and the difficulty of finding free time where everyone could rehearse together, the 4ce crumbled. Even Karen couldn’t avoid a break-up, and that’s saying something! A bit older and wiser now Minne the Manager and RoxorLoops the Beatboxer decided to look for opportunities closer to home. So on a lovely spring day the phone rang at casa Copycat. Minne here! I had a dream! That someday you, Beathoven, RoxorLoops and Karen share the stage on Pukkelpop! Hey, how could Copycat nót climb aboard after such a sign from above? And so Beatoxic was born. The recipe? Swinging vocal beats, with the delicious flavour of Karen’s sexy sound on top. And it works! A great synergy between the beatboxers emerged, every member found his own place in the whole. But in the meantime the vision has been slightly adjusted: Beathoven left the group, it became impossible for him to adjust his agenda to the rising Beatoxic ambitions. Now no-one doubts that the group has found it’s balance: every piece of the puzzle fits! The members of Beatoxic rate originality above all else. RoxorLoops as well as Copycat work every day at developing their own style. The known paths are avoided at all cost, standing still is going backward! Thus the first careful steps in the direction of a personal repertoire have been made, for the moment however Beatoxic relies on covers. But even when beatboxing modern hits as well as oldies like Fever, Respect and Hit the Road Jack Beatoxic never fails to put their own trademark onto the music. While we wait for their own cd to come out, they keep surprising their biggest fans as well as their greatest enemies. The highlight for the time being, according to the group members, was the performance in Vienna December 3rd 2004. A vibrant crowd brought the band to a new climax in their young career. Hopefully, and why the hell not, they’ll make it to Pukkelpop. And after that Beatoxic will conquer the world. If the world is ready, that is. They’d better be!
