(ITF and Vestax World Champion) DJ Woody aka Lee Woodvine is one of Britains most respected scratch dj’s and without doubt one of the hottest turntablists in the world right now. Battle for battle Woody proved himself as the worlds most successful scratch dj of 2001 gaining more major titles than any of his contemparies. After taking both the UK ITF and UK Vestax titles ,Woody went on to make history by becoming the first ever Brit to take the coveted World ITF (International Turntablist Federation) Championship title over in the Mecca of turntablism SanFrancisco, following in the footsteps of legendary dj's such as DJ Babu (Dilated Peoples) and A-Trak (The Allies, World DMC champion). Not content with one World title, 2002 saw Woody become 2 times World Champion when he stormed the Vestax Extravaganza World finals beating off competition from 14 countries. Woody’s success on the competition circuit can be put down to his obsessive quest for originality and creativity and as one of the few true innovators in todays scene he is credited for the invention of numerous ground breaking turntable techniques including his own internationally recognized scratch known as the ‘Woody’ or 'Woodpecker’ style and his revolutionary ‘double-tone arm’ technique. Woody is very much the allround hip-hop DJ and currently holds residency at Liverpools 'No Fakin' (Hip Hop Connection Magazines Club of the Year). On the club circuit Woody has rocked dancefloors worldwide with many of hip hops’ biggest names including Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, De La Soul, Dilated Peoples and Qbert. Woody is also the official dj for the UK's longest running rap group Krispy and tour dj for Manchesters finest Broke N English. Having more than proved his point on the DJ battle scene and secured his reputation within the turntablist community he is now a regular fixture at European and World final dj competitions showcasing and judging.
