Dukes vs Pirates is a combination of The Dukes of Skazzard from Antwerp and Pirates Crew from Ghent. Versus… it’s not a soundclash but both crews playing the best they have to make you dance! Pirates Crew is an all-round soundsystem known for their unique and versatile selections varying in every kind of Jamaican music and spiced with heavy dubplates. They started back in 2002 and have risen to the top of the Belgian reggae sounds, staying true to the format of vinyl they play the newest releases in the mix with vintage songs.The Dukes Of Skazzard started in 2002 as JB-Sound. Also known for their versatile style they played many locations in Belgium. In 2011 they decided to focus on their vintage reggae collection from the 60s and 70s and The Dukes were born. Since then it's all been going uphill and they got to play all over Europe.Over the years both crews shared a lot of posters, so they got to talk at parties and it soon became clear that they shared the same passion for ska, rocksteady and early reggae.After sharing the decks at Soulboys vs Rudeboys' Ska-nta Claus party in December 2014 they've decided to team up and it turned out to be a well-oiled machine that spits reggae hits. 100% vinyl, 2 dj's and 2 mc's.. a combo nice like chicken and rice!
