A Storm Of Light^(US)

A Storm Of Light werd opgericht in 2007 door multi-instrumentalist Josh Graham en Domenic Seita. Wat de band kenmerkt is dat ze nooit een album zullen maken dat lijkt op de voorgaande albums. Elk album verschilt van methode, mood, dynamiek en instrumentatie. De band tourde al de hele wereld rond, van Los Angeles tot Moskou. Ze tourde samen met een veelheid aan bands zoals Neurosis en Converge. 

De band werkte al vaak samen met verschillende gastartiesten zoals Kim Thayil van Soundgarden. Dit zal ook het geval zijn voor het nieuwe album dat in het najaar van 2018 verschijnt. Dit vijfde album heet Anthroscene, en zal een samenwerking zijn met drummer Chris Common en gitarist Dan Hawkins en komt uit bij Consouling Sounds. Nummers 'Prime Time' en 'Slow Motion Apocalypse' kan je al beluisteren.

Popmatters premierde de video van single 'Prime Time' en koppelde er een interview aan over de nieuwe plaat.
"On Anthroscene, many of the lyrics are my personal feelings about the decaying state of - everything I guess: the current political nightmare, the evolution of society through technology and social media, climate change, climate change denial, fear, isolationism, etc. etc. Lyrically though, I wanted a decent chunk of the record to be more surreal; more of a current self-portrait of humanity told through a haze of drugs and paranoia. "Prime Time" hits a little closer to home though. I have people in my life who struggle with prescription opiates, and it kills me. It's almost impossible to navigate."
