Apani B

Apani is a woman with a plan. Hailing from Hollis, Queens, Apani has remained visible by creating her own opportunities. She has been a staple of the NYC underground scene since the early 90's with performances at The Fez, Wetlands, S.O.B.'s, Lyricist's Lounge and The Nuyorican Poet's Cafe. She has graced the pages of Vibe, Blaze, Urb, Source, XXL, and opened for acts like the Fugees and Brand Nubian. Her recording credits include spots with Attica Blues (Mo' Wax), Organized Confusion (Priority), Black Star (Rawkus), Pharoahe Monch (Rawkus), and Anti-Pop Consortium (75 Ark) as well as her own group, Poly-Rhythm Addicts. Expect a tapestry of tales from the hood, interwoven with colorful slang, tight production, and of course some good ol' fashion braggin' rhymes displaying her natural ability as a smart-ass.
