Michaela Anne

Michaela Anne is een Amerikaanse Americana singer-songwriter afkomstig uit Brooklyn, maar ze verblijft  momenteel in Nashville, Tennessee. Ze startte haar carrière in 2014 met de release van haar eerste album Easy On My Mind. Met dit album belandde ze op de vijfde plaats van The Village Voice hun top 13 van Country Albums van 2014. Dit werd gevolgd door een tweede album in 2016 getiteld Bright Lights and The Fame. Ze is onder meer de support act geweest voor artiesten zoals Ron Pope, Courtney Marie Andrews, The Travelin’ McCourys, The Black Lillies en Sam Outlaw.

Michaela is afkomstig van een militaire familie en haar nomadische bestaan heeft ervoor gezorgd dat ze in aanraking kwam met uiteenlopende muziekgenres. Met haar muziek wil ze een nieuwe kant van Country laten zien: "I love country music, but what is known as popular country music today is so different from the type of country music I play and what I identify as country music"(AXS). 

Saving Country Music prees haar voor haar prachtige stem die  "incredible strength and emotion" uitstraalt. Haar nummers reflecteren haar emotionele maturiteit en haar doel is om mensen mee te nemen "on a journey of many emotions whether that’s happiness, fun and dancing or introspection, longing or sadness" (American Songwriter)
