Panacea Live
EXCLUSIVE !! Panacea emerged in 1996 with his massive full-length Low Profile Darkness - a landmark debut that smashed headfirst into drum & bass by musically invigorating and unifying movements that artists such as Alec Empire (DHR) and Ed Rush & Nico (No U-Turn) had lead in developing. The leading member of the Position Chrome collective, Panacea has gone on to release over 20 EPs and 3 LPs. German Engineering follows after on of Panacea's most ambitious years ever. Credits include the critically acclaimed Architettura installment on the US label Caipirinha as well as releases under the minimalist guise M2 on Mille Plateaux and leading industrial label Ant-Zen, his collaborative project Disorder 2nd Gen with fellow Position Chrome artist Problem Child and the superb 12" double pack release under The Redeemer moniker with Ambush Recordings DJ Scud. This time around he re-animates some of his most popular tracks, "Torture," "Motion Sickness," "Stormbringer," and "Sunburst" and more alongside many blasting new tracks including "German Engineering" and "A Perfect Night." German Engineering promises to be his most provocative release to date. His arrangements are complicated and rhythmic - kickin' drums vibrate with oldskool breakbeat samples. Unstoppable raw bass lines storm into the brains of the listner. He has found the ultimate balance between the cyborg futurism a la Bad Company and Ram Recordings and his early extremities of the Low Profile Darkness era. One of the hardest working and varied musicians in the world, Panacea succeeds again with his furious drum 'n' bass. Releases on POSITION CHROME, ANT-ZEN, MILLE PLATEAUX, CAIPIRINHA, ...
