Szun Waves^(UK)

Szun Waves mag je gerust een supergroep noemen, met leden als Luke Abbot (Border Community), Laurence Pike van PVT (Warp Records) en Jack Wyllie van Portico. Het onlangs verschenen debuutplaat At Sacred Walls werd gepuurd uit een 6 uur durende jam sessie in James Holden's Sacred Walls studio.Bleep omschrijft het album als volgt: "The main focus is on rolling, stoned rhythms akin to a slowed down Can or Sun Araw, heavy on the live instrumentation the sounds meander through clouds of lush free jazz saxophones, deep and evocative electronic sound worlds, and lava lamp like rhythms that you could imagine forming the basis of Julian Cope's dreams. A very good look for the jazzy kosmiche heads!"
