Tom Dazing
Tom Dazing live (Heimatmelodie, Toysforboys, Aalst) With a mother that teaches music and himself playing the piano since the age of 7, he was bound to end up in music someday. Born in 1985 in a town called Aalst on the musical axis of Ghent- Brussels, and with music strengthening its grip on him, Tom Dazing found his way to the local record store pretty soon by the age of 18, when he started his DJ career. Tom develops an interest in a wide spectrum of music styles, but consumed by the strength, power and instinctive structure of techno, that's what controls him up to now. In 2006, Tom Dazing released his first debut record on Toys for Boys, hitting several playlists of top DJs, followed up by a major anthem on MB Selektions. In his records he tries to blend in old school drum elements into a subtle environment of new slinky grooves and all-out raving madness, which attracted the attention of top DJs. His production skills, time shifting rhythm patterns and funky complex melodies are very highly appreciated by the crowd and promoters. Receiving full support from DJ's like Richie Hawtin, James Zabiela, Ambivalent, Gabriel Ananda, Seth Troxler, Dominik Eulberg, Marco Bailey, Skoozbot, Redhead, André Crom and so much more his hard work paid off as well on the dance-floor. As a result he ended up 14th in the category 'Best National Producer of 2006' and played on events like Kozzmozz, Ultra, Déclic, Minimalicious, SeSSioN and performed in clubs & venues like Fuse, Vooruit, Silo, Machine, Soundstation, Montini and Escape Concept. Releases in 2007 you can find on Heimatmelodie, Aesthetik and Red Factory as well as MB Selektions with a Someone Else remix !
